Golden Sands...

I have a really simple mani for you today! It actually uses two of my favorite polishes in my collection, Essie Sand Tropez (I'm nearly through my second bottle of this!) and OPI Goldeneye.  I paired them up the other day on kind of a whim and I'm LOVING the combination. It catches the light in all the right ways and looks just gorgeous.  I'm relocating soon and doing some job hunting so this was a nice, neutral look which was also just a touch flashy!  I hope you enjoy it! :)

Tribal Gradient

Well this is a manicure born out of boredom and also a little bit of frustration.  I have these  Minx Nail Strips which I keep meaning to use in some way.  The strips are gorgeous and have a mirror like effect on the background BUT...my hairdryer has been broken for ages and I just can't seem to get them warm enough to sit nicely on my nail without it.  So instead I decided to cut the design into pieces and use them individually in different art.  So here we have a simple gradient which I've fancied up a bit a few days in with a tribal sort of strip!  I hope you enjoy it! :)  Thanks for following!

Stellar Silk...

Well we've reached the end of fashion week with the Digit-al Dozen! I'm going out with a bang this week! This was my favorite look from all the ones I ended up with in the end.  It looked like nail stripes from afar and just had the coolest overall appearance.  It looks much more intricate and difficult than it turned out to be in actuality BUT it did require some planning! I'm considering a tutorial for this look if there's interest in it! In either case I did sort of a two and two so we're back to the lovely Stella McCartney today. This was based on a silk dress from her 2012 Spring collection. UK'ers may recall seeing Sienna Miller grace the cover of British Vogue in April 2012 in this dress. Here's a picture for those of you who didn't see it!

I hope you all enjoyed this week! Please check out what my fellow ladies came up with for today!

All Hail...

It's time for another day in the Digit-al Dozen's Fashion Week challenge!! Today my design is sort of loosely based on an Alexander McQueen dress from a while back. I think it also comes across a bit Vera Bradley but that's not the intention! Here's the dress I used for my inspiration:

Obviously there is a different color and pattern scheme going on here but I liked the mesh of triangles with the different patterns on it.  This is also part of a new series I'm starting to help you reuse your abused, old mani's! I don't know about any of you but I don't always have lots of time to do my nails and if I can update what's already on them and turn it into something new then I'm definitely in for that!!  This is a Replay Mani!

Resort Wear

So today is day three of the Digit-al Dozen's Fashion Week.  I'm back to Christian Siriano today! I actually had fully intended to do a whole week of designs based on his work but I didn't end up going that route! Still they're mostly geared in his direction! :)  These are based on his new Resort Wear collection for 2014.

I love the bright color blocking and the bold contrast with the white!  I hope you enjoyed this look for today! Don't forget to check out what some of the other ladies came up with for fashion week!

So it's day two of Fashion Week with the Digit-al Dozen and today I have a design based on another of my favorite designers for you. This design is based on a Stella McCartney gown from 2012. She frequently uses sheer cutouts in her designs which can easily become sort of racy but she manages to keep them very classy and fun.  I love Stella's designs because they're bold and cutting edge but also tend to be mostly monochrome and usually black or black and white. I also love her as a person because she's so environmentally concious and animal friendly! Here's the dress I based these nails off of:

The Digit-al Dozen does....Fashion!

It's fashion week at the Digit-al Dozen! I had sort of an abundance of ideas this week but I wanted to sort of incorporate some of my favorite designers into it and so I had to really edit myself!  I really love designs which are clean and classic but also girly and modern.  One of the people who I feel really combines the two effortlessly is Christian Siriano.  I really loved him on Project Runway and since his win I've continued to follow him and am a HUGE fan of his designs.  I like that they're classy and vintage inspired but also modern and glamorous.  This nail art didn't come out precisely how I wanted it too but I think it sums up the particular look I was going for at any rate! The inspiration for the nails was this runway look:

These are some quick nails I did last week.  They were meant to come out a little differently but I think they ended up working anyway! I started out using tape to tape off the triangles. The blue is the only which ended up taped though as I'm just not near patient enough to continue that way!  I used the Color Club Poptastic Collection for these and it's hard to tell from the picture but there are two distinct pinks in the collection. I tried to keep one pink box smaller on each nail so as not to create an overwhelming pink design! I hope you all enjoy them!
